The Norwich Inn was purchased in 2006 by HarborStone (Joe Lavin) and partners through Green Visions, LLC.
It is an historic full service country inn, located in Norwich, Vermont, across the river from Hanover, New Hampshire.
The Inn is the closest lodging facility to Dartmouth College (1.5 mi) with the exception of the Hanover Inn which is on Campus and owned by the College. An inn has been on the Main Street site since 1797; the current structure since 1890.
The Inn features 40 guest rooms (22 in a new expansion), a Pub known as Jasper Murdock’s Alehouse, a 180-seat restaurant/pub and a microbrewery featuring hand-crafted English ales, sold only on site. Recently a wine cellar of over 2000 bottles was added, including banquet space for 32 in a "vintage" setting--known as "The Cellar." Local legend has it that the Inn is the inspiration behind the popular TV Show, “Newhart,” which was set in Norwich.
Close proximity to I-91 allows for easy access to area attractions including Norwich-based King Arthur Flour (1 mi) Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (3.6 mi.), White River Junction (5 mi), Quechee and Simon Pearce (13 mi) and Woodstock (19 mi).
